Continental Divide #74 Trailhead

Trailhead for access to the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail #74 on the Gila National Forest.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

There is no fee for use

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

Directions

From Winston, go north on New Mexico Highway 52 for 9 miles to New Mexico Highway 59. Turn left (west) on Highway 59 and proceed approximately 13.5 miles to the trailhead on the south side of Highway 59, between mileposts 13 and 14.
