Rocky Canyon Campground
This is a fairly small campground and is popular with horse riders and hunters.
General Information
Year-round, though access may be seasonally limited by snow and icy road conditions.
Available for overnight use
No pass required
Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.
Use of OHV and ATVs is prohibited in the campground. Hunting and shooting are prohibited in the campground. Stock animals are not allowed in the immediate campground. A 14-day stay limit applies.
No fees are required for this site
Pets must be leashed in the campground
Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

Directions
From Mimbres, NM, follow New Mexico Highway 35 north approximately 9 miles to Forest Road 150. Turn right onto Forest Road 150, proceeding 12.5 miles to Rocky Canyon Campground on the left.
Travel Considerations
FR150 can be very rough, so we advise high clearance 4 x 4 vehicles.
