Four Forest Restoration Initiative: Monthly Operation Reports

Back to 4FRI Home

Monthly restoration updates for the Four Forest Restoration Initiative highlight progress for mechanical thinning and prescribed fire activities across the entire 2.4 million acres of the initiative. Updates include the Task Orders of the 4FRI Phase 1 Stewardship Contract, other mechanical thinning contracts, and prescribed fire activities as defined in the 2021 Restoration Strategy. These collaborative projects, in various stages of completion, typically involve partners due to their importance to other agencies and stakeholders. For annual summaries of other restoration actions such as watershed and wildlife improvement projects, see the monitoring webpage.

When included, project maps of the westside generally cover the Kaibab and Coconino National Forests, and project maps of the eastside generally cover the Tonto and Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.
