Adelaide Campground

Overview
Adelaide Campground is located in Corn Creek Canyon on the south end of the Pahvant Mountain Range near Kanosh, Utah. 

Facilities
The campground offers one group site that can accommodate 48 guests and up to 15 vehicles. Nine individual sites are also available. These sites can accommodate 6-to-8 guests and 2 vehicles. All of the individual sites are suitable for camp trailers and although no designated tent pads are at the sites they are suitable for tent camping. 

Flush and vault toilets are provided, as well as drinking water. A large amphitheater and picnic shelter / pavilion are located on-site. Roads and parking areas are gravel. There are no electric, water, or sewer site hookups at this campground. Please bring your own garbage bags to pack out your trash, as garbage receptacles and services are not available. 

Natural Features
A grove of maple and cottonwood trees provides plentiful shade. Pines and summer wildflowers dot the area. Corn Creek runs alongside the campground, which lies at an elevation of 5,500 feet.

Recreation
Corn Creek offers brown and rainbow trout fishing. Hiking and biking trails begin nearby The Paiute ATV trail system can be easily accessed from the site.

Reservations are available and may be made online, or by calling the Recreation.gov reservation line at 877-444-6777 at least 2 days, and no more than 180 days, in advance. This site does not honor America the Beautiful passes.

Seasonal access is available from mid-May through mid-September, as snow and wet road conditions may limit entry during other times of the year.

-OHVs are allowed for ingress and egress only, not for general riding within the campground. OHV's must be properly registered.  Stay on designated routes.

-16-day, 15-night stay limit.

-Follow local fire restrictions and fully extinguish campfires before leaving.

-Use designated vault toilet to protect natural environment and wildlife.

-Pack out all trash and follow leave no trace principles; please bring garbage bags.

-Store food properly in bear-proof containers.

-No live music or sound systems permitted.

-Discharging a firearm of any kind is prohibited: this includes BB guns, slingshots, paintball guns etc. 

Groups of over 75 people who wish to use the forest need to obtain a special use permit. There is no fee for the permit, and permits can be obtained at the Fillmore District Office.

  • Pets must be leashed at all times within this recreation area. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and to protect wildlife.
  • Clean up dog waste and dispose of it properly.
  • Keep dogs from chasing, harassing, and disturbing wildlife, livestock or other visitors.
  • Yield to other hikers, horses, and other trail users by stepping off the trail and controlling your dog.

The Adelaide Campground is located 5 miles southeast of Kanosh, Utah.  From main street in Kanosh, head east on 300 St. continuing on FR106 for 5.0 miles. See google maps link below for directions.

Potable water is available at this site.

Potable water is available from faucets located throughout the campground during operating season.

Please do not connect hoses to water faucets

Help us maintain a sanitary drinking water supply by refraining from connecting hoses to drinking water faucets. These types of connections create potential pathways for contaminates to enter the system. Water faucets are provided in this campground.

Water is on during the operating season from mid-May through mid-September. Dry camping (no water) in shoulder months is available as access allows.
