Donations

As an appropriated-funded organization, the Sawtooth National Forest cannot accept donations of goods or services from private sources without specific statutory authority. While we can't directly accept donations, many of the organizations with which we have agreements can.

One such organization is the the National Forest Foundation, a nonprofit corporation chartered by Congress to promote the health and public enjoyment of the 193-million-acre National Forest System. The organization administers private gifts of funds and land for the benefit of our national forests and grasslands. Donations to this organization help fund urgent on-the-ground conservation work, including wildfire mitigation, watershed restoration, invasive species and disease treatment, and more.

Other Ways to Help

Help Our Partners

Young adults in long sleeve shirts, long pants, and hard hats sit atop and inside a very larged hollowed out tree downed in a sparsley forested area.

Many of our partners rely on donations of time and money to support their work with us. Check out our partnerships page to see which of those organizations most align with your values.
