Volunteers
Volunteering with a federal agency allows you to directly participate in helping to meet national needs like maintaining national parks and providing disaster relief. It’s also an opportunity to learn about a variety of government services. Additionally, if you have an interest in working for the federal government, volunteering provides a way to get experience, network and potentially meet hiring managers.

Through campground hosting, trail maintenance, visitor services, research and more, volunteers make significant contributions to the legacy of conservation for future generations. When we have volunteer positions available to fill on the Sawtooth National Forest, they are advertised through Volunteer.gov.
