Bowns Campground

Bowns Campground, located 25 miles east of Featherville and 18 miles north of Fairfield, is a developed campground composed of 10 units along Big Smoky Creek. Two of the camp sites are double family units.  Camping, fishing, hiking, and picnicking are popular activities. Campground amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, drinking water (seasonally) and restrooms. Miller Creek Trail (#087) starts just south of the campground and is open to motorcycles.

General Information

Standard operating season is May - October but can be seasonally dependent.

Pets must be leashed in campground.  All campfires must be attended.

Overnight Use:
Peak Season (mid May - 10/31):
Single Site: $6/night.
Double Site: $12/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.
*The discount applies only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not to any additional fee or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party.*

Fees will be charged from mid-May until October 31. $6.00 per night fee for single sites, $12.00 per night for double sites.
