Wood River Recreation Complex

Situated just north of Ketchum, Idaho, near the Sawtooth National Recreation Area Headquarters, the Wood River Valley is host to a number of campsites including:

  • North Fork,
  • Easley, and
  • the Wood River group overnight area. 

These sites can be reserved by visiting www.recreation.gov or by calling (877)444-6777. 

There are first-come, first-serve campsites including:

  •  Wood River,
  • Murdock, and
  • Caribou campgrounds. 

Double sites are offered at: 

  • North Fork,
  • Wood River, and
  • Easley campgrounds. 

Wood River picnic area offers opportunities for group gatherings and celebrations. This area is wonderful for fishing in the Big Wood River, hiking, and viewing wildlife and the beautiful scenery of the Big Wood River, Pioneer Mountains, Smoky Mountains and Hemingway-Boulder Mountains.

Caribou Campground is composed of 7 campsites which are first-come, first-serve, and is situated in a pine overstory near the Sawtooth National Recreation Area Visitor Cent

This dispersed campground area is north of Caribou developed campground on the left side of North Fork road.

Easley Campground is located along the beautiful Big Wood River 14 miles north of Ketchum.

Murdock Campground is composed of 11 campsites located in a pine overstory 2 miles north of the Sawtooth National Recreation Headquarters in the North Fork Canyon.

North Fork Campground is composed of 28 campsites including 3 double-sites located at the beginning of the 18.6 mile Harriman Trail.

Wood River Campground is composed of 30 campsites including 1 double-site and a picnic area which are all first-come, first-serve.
