South Fork Boise River Corridor

Forest Road #227 corridor from Featherville to Dollarhide Summit along the South Fork Boise River and Little Smoky Creek. 

Road is closed to motorized traffic from December 1 - April 30 for winter wildlife habitat. 

Dispersed camping along Forest Service Road #227. Camping is allowed within 300' of the road.

Current Conditions
South Fork River Corridor National Forest System Road #227 is closed between Skeleton Creek and Bowns Campground due to damages from flooding and landslides. You can still access this section via foot, horse, bicycle or motorcycle. Camas County will begin work on re-routing the road around the landslides near Skeleton Creek in the fall of 2018. Camas County and the Forest Service are working on a repair/re-route plan for the flood damaged section near Bowns Campground but a decision has not been finalized.
