Summit Trail
The Summit Trail, near Grassy Butte, ND, is a scenic ridge-top path in the Little Missouri National Grasslands that begins at Summit Campground. The trail offers spectacular, open views of the Badlands’ largest and steepest landscapes. Currently, only the first two miles are recommended for use because of severe erosion. The final two miles, which connect to the Maah Daah Hey Trail, have been severely damaged by weather and are closed for safety reasons.
