Recreation Use Fees

Some developed sites and facilities, such as campgrounds and day-use areas, require a fee for use. These fee areas are clearly marked. Collected fees help the Grasslands maintain and improve services and facilities, including water systems, roads, and restrooms. Please pay all required fees before using any site, facility, equipment, or service.

Types of Recreation Fees

Recreation fees, as authorized by the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act, allow federal land management agencies to reinvest these funds directly into the recreation sites where they are collected.

Interagency Pass Discounts

Interagency Senior and Access Recreation Passes offer a 50% discount on Single Campsite fees only. The discount applies solely to the campsite occupied by the pass holder and does not extend to additional campsites or fees for other party members. Passes can be obtained at all five DPG offices.
