Wannagan Campground
Wannagan Campground is remote with 10 large, open campsites with fire rings and picnic tables. The campground also has an accessible vault toilet, hitching rails, and a hand pump for potable water.

General Information
- Pack-in, Pack-out rules apply. If you bring it in with you, please take it out. Please do not put any trash in the vault toilets.
- The nearby trailhead also provides easy access to the Maah Daah Hey and Buffalo Gap trails approximately 1/2 mile south on the south side of Forest Service Road 726, just southwest of the entrance road intersection to the campground.
- Campground rules and information are posted on the kiosk.

The Senior Pass and the Access Pass holders receive a 50% discount on camping fees per night. Discounts apply only to the site the pass holder occupies only (not for additional guest sites).

- Stay limit of 14 consecutive days.
- All trails are intended for non-motorized travel only. Therefore, all motorized vehicles, including E-bikes, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility terrain vehicles (UTVs), and snowmobiles are prohibited.

Single Site: $10 per night
$10/ night. Payments should be made via the fee tube with fee envelopes located in the center of the campground near the kiosk.
Pets are allowed but must remain leashed within the campground at all times. Keep our campgrounds clean. Please clean up after your animals.

Directions
From Medora, travel west on I-94 for approximately 13.5 miles to Exit 10 for Camels Hump Lake. After exiting, proceed north, then take the first right turn heading east toward Camels Hump Lake.
Continue following the roadway as it curves north onto 160th Ave SW. Travel approximately 3.10 miles, then turn right to head east.
Continue for another 3.5 miles and then turn left to proceed north. Follow this winding road as it curves northeast for approximately 9.25 miles, then turn right toward Wannagan Campground.
Continue for about one mile and the entrance to the Wannagan Campground will be located on the left.

A day-use parking lot is located one-quarter mile south of the camp along the south side of Road #726.

Biking - Road Cycling Info

Saddle or pack animals are allowed in recreation sites only where authorized by posted instructions. Hitching, tethering, or hobbling a horse that causes damage to live trees, soil, or water is prohibited.
