Bear Creek - CDNST Trailhead
Trailhead located just to the northwest of Pinos Altos, New Mexico on the Silver City Ranger District located on the east side of Bear Creek Road (Grant County CMR 1-93) to access the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (Trail #74 on the Gila National Forest). Take the short spur trail starting behind the information kiosk to the south for 0.07 miles to access the Continental Divide Trail.

Parking is available overnight; occupancy and use at the trailhead is dawn to dusk.
No pass required
Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.
Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.
There is no fee for use
Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

From Silver City, travel north on New Mexico Highway 15 approximately 6 miles to Pinos Altos. Turn left onto Bear Creek Road, following it approximately 1.9 miles to the trailhead.
