Dragonfly Trailhead

Current Conditions
There are two parking lots - the first lot is for vehicles with trailers, the second lot is for passenger vehicles. Please avoid parking passenger vehicles in the trailer lot, as it makes it difficult to turn around.

Trailhead for access to the Fort Bayard Trail System: Dragonfly - Trail #720, Servis Corrals - Trail #725, Old Highway 260 - Trail #260 and Crosscountry Course - Trail #722.

Day use only.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

No fees are required for this site

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

Directions

From Silver City follow U.S. Highway 180 east for approximately 7 miles to Arenas Valley Road on the north side. Turn left onto Arenas Valley Road and proceed 1 mile to the Dragonfly Trailhead parking lot.
