Largo Trail #14
The 4.6-mile (one way) Largo Trail #14 is a high elevation trail through ponderosa pines to El Caso Lookout tower.
The trail climbs toward the El Caso Lookout Tower through grassy fields and ponderosa pine stands. The trail crosses a bridge on the east side of Quemado Lake and provides excellent opportunities to view waterfowl, blue herons, osprey, and other birds. There are many opportunities to view wildlife along the trail. The trail connects to the Vista Trail #149, Lakeshore Access Trail 1441, Quemado Lake Fishing Trail #144, and Sawmill Canyon Trail #13 for extended hiking.

Quemado (20 miles) provides gas stations, food, and motels. Snuffy's Store and Restaurant near Quemado Lake provides gas station, food, bait, and showers on a seasonal basis.

Campgrounds at Quemado Lake are available. Juniper Campground offers 18 RV spaces with water and electrical hookups and 18 single-family sites. Pinon Campground offers 23 single-family sites fand 2 group sites, including a 30-person site and a 75-person site. El Caso Campgrounds offer free, primitive camping with vault toilets.

Directions
Just west of Quemado, New Mexico, go south on New Mexico Highway 32 for approximately 14 miles to Quemado Lake / New Mexico Highway 103 sign. At the sign go east on NM 103 for 4 miles to Forest Road 13. Continue past the lake. The trailhead is on the right, just west of El Caso Campground.
