Camping & Cabins

Camping opportunities are abundant on the Forest in a variety of different environments. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made through www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

Tahoe National Forest is home to nine historic fire lookouts, two of which are available to rent. For a truly unique recreation experience, renters can drive, hike, ski, bike or ride snow machines across snowy peaks, enjoy breathtaking views of the eastern Sierra Nevada and enjoy a cozy weekend inside a historic fire lookout.
