Recreation Use Fees
Certain developed sites and facilities, such as campgrounds and day-use areas, require a fee to use. These areas are marked. These fees support the Grasslands' ability to provide services and maintain facilities like water systems, roads, and restrooms. Fees must be paid before using the site, facility, equipment, or service.
Recreation Fee Types
Recreation fees, authorized by the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act, enable federal land management agencies to reinvest the following types of fees back into the recreation sites.
Interagency Pass Discounts
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites only. The discount applies only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not to any additional fee or campsite(s) occupied by the pass holder's party members. Passes are available at all five DPG offices. More information is available on the Passes page.
