WASHINGTON, D.C.—The 31st annual National Public Lands Day is Sept. 28. Please join the National Environmental Education Foundation, which leads National Public Lands Day, and USDA Forest Service staff for an informational webinar Tuesday, June 4, at 3 p.m. EDT to learn more about how you can get involved.

Register here for the webinar.

This year’s theme, "Together for Tomorrow," emphasizes the role NPLD can play in uniting people together in service of the greater good. During the webinar, you’ll hear more about how to make the most of this opportunity to attract new audiences and partners to your unit or forest. You’ll also hear case studies of success and tips for how to make your event both inclusive and accessible.

This year, an estimated 45,000 participants will work together to ensure the longevity of their local outdoor spaces. Here at the Forest Service, NPLD solidifies the vital role of our nation’s forests and grasslands play in fostering environmental stewardship among youth and their communities.

We hope you’ll consider joining in this effort. If you have any questions, please email Melissa Taggart or Arthur Phalo.
