Drug Testing Requirements for Full-Time Permanent Seasonal Employees
The United States Department of Agriculture Chief Human Capital Officer recently issued new direction that now requires return-to-duty random drug testing consideration for Permanent Seasonal Employees (PSEs) whose permanent duty position is currently subject to random drug testing. Random drug testing in conjunction with return-to-duty status will only apply to employees who have been absent from their safety sensitive duties for thirty (30) consecutive days or more. Random selections will begin during the 2017 field season.
