The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) supports the Forest Service (FS) mission by providing improvements to the financial management processes. The goal of the CFO is to create an environment that enhances the use of integrated financial information by designing and implementing useful and reliable financial systems.

Important message from Forest Service

FS Bill Payment form is now searchable in Pay.gov.

To find FS Bill Payment form, go to the Pay.gov website and type “FS Bill Payment” in search bar on upper-right corner and click search icon.

Login is required!

As an improved security feature, Forest Service is requiring login credentials to Pay.gov when making payments using FS Bill Payments form.  If you already have Login.gov or ID.me account, please use the existing account to login to Pay.gov.  If you do not have Login.gov or ID.me account, Forest Service recommends creating Login.gov account as all Forest Service public facing applications use Login.gov account.

NOTICE:

The U.S. Treasury has mandated that the new maximum daily limit for each credit card transaction is $24,999.99. For payments greater than this amount, you must pay with an electronic check or debit card.

Note: To ensure your bill is properly credited, please enter the bill number exactly as it appears on the billing statement.  Use all alpha-numeric characters displayed. (Example: BD12345678900)

When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day we receive your payment, and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution. For inquiries, please call 1-877-372-7248 Option #1.

Privacy Act – A Privacy Act Statement required by 5 U.S.C. § 552a (e) (3) stating our authority for soliciting and collecting the information from your check, and explaining the purposes and routine uses which will be made of your check information, is available from our internet site at https://www.fs.usda.gov/working-with-us/billpay or call toll free at 1-877-372-7248 Option #1 to obtain a copy by mail. Furnishing the check information is voluntary, but a decision not to do so may require you to make payment by some other method.

The Privacy Act Statement of 5 United States Code Section 552a (e) (3) is stated below:

Each agency that maintains a system of records shall -

  1. Inform each individual whom it asks to supply information, on the form which it uses to collect the information or on a separate form that can be retained by the individual -

    1. the authority (whether granted by statute, or by executive order of the President) which authorizes the solicitation of the information and whether disclosure of such information is mandatory or voluntary;

    2. the principal purpose or purposes for which the information is intended to be used;

    3. the routine uses which may be made of the information, as published pursuant to paragraph (4)(D) of this subsection; and

    4. the effects on him, if any, of not providing all or any part of the requested information;
