Employee training & support resources

January 6, 2026

Graphic element: the Forest Service shield.

Forest Service employees deliver critical services to Americans, and a thriving and ready workforce is key to managing and conserving our nation’s forests and grasslands. The Forest Service offers support and development resources to all employees.

These resources can be found on the Workforce Support and Development hub (internal link). The hub offers a centralized calendar for upcoming employee support sessions and developmental training, including wellbeing webinars, supervisor training and leadership development offerings. The hub is your path to frequently visited sites featuring topics such as employee support and wellbeing, training and employee development, and conflict management and prevention.

TalkNow is here when you need support most—right in the moment. Every call connects you with a caring, licensed mental health counselor ready to listen and help. This 24/7, confidential service, offered through Acentra our Employee Assistance Program vendor, is designed to support you with challenges big or small, whenever waiting isn’t an option. Sometimes, one conversation can truly make all the difference. To connect with this resource call: 1-833-621-2989

Please continue to invest in your wellbeing and growth, especially during times of change and transition.
