Emergency Response and Preparedness

This web page is provided for the use of employees of the Forest Service and their families. This material will be useful for permanent, seasonal, volunteer, and inter-agency employees, especially those new to a location that may not be familiar with some of the potential natural disasters and emergencies that can occur in their city, lab, National Forest or Grassland. Wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, flooding, and other natural disasters are each a source of danger that may potentially affect you and your family. Become prepared and plan for those particular hazards that may affect where you work or live. The links below provide useful tools and content for emergency response and preparedness. Your supervisor and Forest Service location will provide additional information, including if you have specific duties for fighting wildfires or responding to other natural or man-made disasters.
