Recognizing you
As we head into September, we take the time to recognize the contributions American workers have made to the country’s strength and prosperity. In honor of the upcoming Labor Day, I’m proud to reflect on the past six months working with you. I continue to be impressed with the work that you do on a daily basis.
You are suppressing wildfires, actively managing our nation’s forests and grasslands, growing and planting seedlings, conducting important research, working with partners and supporting each other. Your efforts are making our forests healthy and resilient. You come from everywhere — some of you grew up recreating in national forests, and some of you came from the city and found your calling — but you are united in your dedication to conserving our public lands and serving the public.
Again, thank you for all your contributions to our work. And as always, stay safe out there.
