Feds Feed Families Food Drive summer campaign is ongoing

August 14, 2023

Banner: Feds Feed Families - fighting hunger. Giving hope

USDA is well into our summer of giving food drive for the Feds Feed Families campaign as we continue to work alongside our federal family to address the issue of food insecurity.

Feds Feeds Families is a voluntary, nationwide food drive initiated to address the increased demand for food in the summer months when donations tend to decrease.

FFF began in 2009 as a response to the United We Serve initiative, donating more than 107 million pounds of food and volunteer hours in support of Americans who face food and nutrition insecurity.

FFF is an opportunity for us to unite and give in-kind donations – food, service, and time – to food pantries and food banks of choice.

All employees are encouraged to participate:

  • Become a FFF Champion
  • Donate to a food bank or food pantry of your choice.
  • Host or attend an event
  • Volunteer to glean at a farm or warehouse or Plant-a-Row.

----> Record your donation and volunteer time on the FFF Hub year-round
