HRM: Eight hours leave to recognize public service

In recognition of your achievements and commitment to public service, Secretary Vilsack has authorized employees to use 8 hours of administrative leave between now and Saturday, May 13, 2023.

What You Need to Know

  • You must obtain supervisor approval to use this administrative leave.
  • You don’t need to use all 8 hours on the same day, but you must use it all by May 13, 2023.
  • You can combine it with other leave.
  • You may only use this leave during your normal scheduled tour of duty.
  • Employees in a continuous period of non-pay status may not be placed in a pay status solely to receive the 8 hours of administrative leave.

What You Need to Do

  • Work with your supervisor to find a time to use the 8 hours of administrative leave by May 13, 2023.
  • Code your timesheet using Other Leave, “Transaction Code (TC) 66” when using the administrative leave, and please note it in the remarks section of Paycheck8.
