HRM: FY22 performance appraisals

  • Employees should send accomplishment reports to their supervisor by Oct. 1, 2022. This report should include personal performance contributions and accomplishments for each performance element. Employees should upload this report as an attachment to their FY22 performance plan in ePM.
  • Supervisors must issue the final rating to their employees by Oct. 30, 2022.
  • This includes obtaining approval from the reviewing official through ePM and before issuing the rating.
  • Once issued to the employee within ePM, the signed AD-435 will be available to view and download within ePM.
  • Please review the performance appraisal checklist for rating officials for more information.
  • You can also review the training video on how to issue an end-of-year rating.

Initiating FY23 Performance Plans in ePM

  • The new template for FY23 plans will be available to use within ePM starting Aug. 17, 2022. 
  • Any new Forest Service employee starting after Aug. 17, 2022, can be placed on an FY23 performance plan. 
  • FY23 performance plans should be issued by Oct. 30, 2022.
