HRM: Interim solution to code incident response premium pay

May 8, 2025

Banner: HRM Update.

An interim solution has been created to pay Incident Response Premium Pay while a permanent solution is being developed.

If you previously coded time for IRPP using TC-IR: Corrected timesheets were automatically submitted for pay period 6 (March 23-April 5, 2025) and/or pay period 7 (April 6-19, 2025).

If you did not previously code time for IRPP using TC-IR: You can submit corrected timesheets for pay period 6 and/or pay period 7 using the guidance below.

How to Code IRPP in Paycheck 8

Log into Paycheck8 using ConnectHR, select “Enter Time” from the lefthand tool bar and enter your time worked. Then, click on the box next to “Incident Response Premium Pay,” enter the correct job code with fiscal year and override code, and then select the action “Save.” Validate the information for the job code with fiscal year and override for IRPP is the same information provided in the boxes above where you enter your time worked.

Precautionary Measures to Avoid Exceeding Annual Pay Caps

To reduce the risk of exceeding the annual $9,000 pay cap while a permanent solution is being developed, the number of IRPP days that can be coded is limited.

  • Pay Grades 6 and below are capped at coding 42 days

  • Pay Grades 7 through 11 are capped at coding 35 days

  • Pay Grades 12 and above are capped at coding 28 days

Once the maximum number of days are reached, the IRPP time code option will be grayed out and unavailable.

For tracking purposes, employees will need to add a remark in their timesheet reflecting any additional days they qualified for IRPP.

The number of IRPP days/hours coded will be displayed at the bottom of the timesheet in the “Other” section.

NOTE: Please continue to use the normal time coding process while on fire assignment in addition to selecting IRPP.
