HRM: Performance plan, 3rd quarter conversation reminder

June 16, 2022

Banner: HRM Update.

A performance plan must be established within ePM.22 for all temporary or permanent employees in order for a rating to be issued for FY 2022. Employee performance plans should have the status of “I certify receipt of my performance plan” to ensure they are on an active plan. Reference the Supervisor ePM User Guide on the Human Resources Management Performance website to establish plans in ePM.

Third quarter performance conversations are due by June 30, 2022. The purpose of these conversations is to conduct regular and ongoing communication between the rating official and the employee to measure the employee’s progress toward achieving organizational and individual goals and to provide feedback. Reference the Performance-Based Conversations—What Should We Talk About? guide.

If a supervisor or employee leaves their position prior to July 15, 2022, an interim rating is required within ePM prior to departing from that position. Please review Interim Performance Ratings FAQs for more information.

What You Need To Do

Supervisors must make sure employees are on active plans and document quarterly conversations. Third quarter performance conversations are due by June 30, 2022.
