RECENTLY ISSUED DIRECTIVES
The following new directives were published during the period of 05/09/2022 to 05/13/2022.
Forest Service Handbook 2709.11 – Special Uses Handbook
Chapter 50 - Standard Forms & Supplemental Clauses
Removes “clause B-29 Explosives” and replaces with “clause B-29 Storage and Use of Explosives and Magazine Security” throughout and describes and clarifies the application and purpose of the new clause. Indicates all relevant authorization types for which clause B-29 may potentially authorize the use and storage of explosives.
Forest Service Manual 2700 – Special Uses Management
Chapter 2710 - Special Use Authorizations
In 2711.7, establishes code, caption and sets forth direction for “Uses for Which Special Use Authorizations Are Not Required,” previously set out at 2719, and replaces 2719 with “Special Use Authorization Involving Storage of Explosives and Magazine Security” and sets forth direction. Changes caption from “Glossary” to “Definitions” for consistency with other manuals, revises the definition of slope transport feet method, and adds the definition of slope transport feet percentage.
