USDA: Interfaith Ramadan fellowship celebration
Greetings Friends and Partners,
Ramadan Kareem to all who observe! It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in USDA’s Interfaith Ramadan Fellowship Celebration, taking place virtually on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 7:00-7:45p.m. EDT.
longside our partners at Islamic Relief USA, we are eager to celebrate and share in the spirit of Ramadan. As the new director for the Office of Partnerships and Public Engagement, it is a special honor to reach out to the USDA community with an invitation that at its core is about community, reflection and service. We have faced challenging times over the last year but are excited to share this moment and be inspired to move forward together, to continue to address some of the country’s greatest needs. I am hopeful that by next year, families, friends, colleagues and our partners across the country will once again be able to celebrate Ramadan in person as tradition holds.
The celebration will bring together speakers from across USDA and key partners as we reflect on the past year, celebrate our partnership and move forward together. The event will take place on Zoom for government. Please register in advance.
I look forward to celebrating and sharing the good works of the Islamic community in the United States. Please see the attached flyer and agenda; we would love to have you join us.
Sincerely,
Lisa Ramirez
Director, Office of Partnership & Public Engagement
