USDA: Ride the FEVS wave

Dear USDA Colleagues,
Every year, we eagerly await your valuable feedback through the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey. It is an opportunity for each of you to voice your thoughts and perspectives, enabling us to shape the department's goals and strategies for the present and the future. Your input is pivotal in our pursuit of making USDA the best place to work in the federal government.
Our chosen theme for this year's event is "Share your Truth," reflecting our commitment to fostering meaningful change within our department. Together, we have been making remarkable progress year after year, and your contributions play a vital role in our shared success.
As the FEVS survey approaches its conclusion in just a few days, I am thrilled to announce a department-wide event that will make this year's survey completion truly memorable. I invite you all to join the "Ride the Wave" event for 45 minutes on Thursday, June 22, ANY TIME between 8:00 am to 12:00 pm local time. This special occasion is designed to provide you with uninterrupted time and space to engage with the survey and share your truth.
During the four-hour event, I encourage each of you, if operationally feasible, to block one hour on your calendar, avoid scheduling any meetings or events, and focus solely on completing the FEVS survey. Your thoughts, experiences and ideas are incredibly valuable to us, and we want to ensure you have dedicated time to express them fully.
By participating in the "Ride the Wave" event, you are not only actively shaping the future of USDA but also reinforcing our commitment to open communication, continuous improvement and a supportive work environment.
Remember, your voice matters, and the more feedback we receive, the clearer our vision becomes on how to create an outstanding workplace experience for all. Together, let us build upon our successes and inspire positive change within our organization.
Join me in this transformative event, "Ride the Wave," and let your truth be heard. Thank you as always for all you do every day to carry out our mission as “the People’s Department.”
Ride the Wave. Share your Truth. Shape our Future!
Sincerely,
Malcom Shorter
Acting Assistant Secretary for Administration
