It is with heavy hearts that we share that Ronald (Ron) Bobert, assistant director of Property Management with Procurement & Property Services, passed away unexpectedly.

Ron was a proud United States Army retiree. After working in private industry for many years, he decided he wanted a change from where he was living in Washington, D.C., so he brought his great leadership skills and knowledge to the USDA Forest Service in July 2015 with a move to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was promoted into the position of branch chief for Personal and Real Property before transitioning into his current role in 2020.

Ron was highly respected for his leadership and guidance and will be missed by all. We are grateful for his service to our country and dedication to our agency.

Ron leaves behind his beautiful wife, Gina, and three sons, Elijah, Zack and Christopher.
