Remembering Tracy Lynn Serres

Tracy Lynn Serres, a senior information technology project manager/investment manager in the Chief Information Office, passed away on April 3.

Tracy joined the Forest Service in 1985 and had a long and distinguished career. Most recently, she was a senior project manager and investment manager in the Project Management Office of the Chief Information Office. Tracy used her extensive knowledge and leadership skills to manage several enterprise information technology projects that positively impacted operations across the agency and benefitted visitors to national forests and grasslands. Tracy was a mentor and coach to many on her team.

Prior to her work in the Project Management Office, Tracy provided direct information technology support to Region 6 and the Bighorn National Forest in Sheridan, Wyoming, and later in the Chief Information Office as a network architect. Tracy also worked in the Albuquerque Service Center. 
Tracy is survived by her husband, Boyd, daughter Alyssa and son Chris, who also works for the Forest Service. 

Tracy was a friend and co-worker to many during her 37-year Forest Service career. She was also a dedicated and effective leader, helping the Forest Service implement new technologies and systems in support of the mission. She will be greatly missed.
