Bridge Builders Coffee Talk: Working with faith-based and neighborhood partnerships
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Are you hoping to expand your partnership horizons to reach representative, well-organized, community-serving institutions? Join the Bridge Builders on Dec. 12th for a 30-minute, coffee hour presentation on partnering with faith-based and neighborhood partnerships.
Samantha Joseph and Alex Cordova, director and deputy director of the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at USDA, will provide an overview of the opportunities presented by working with community-based secular and faith-based organizations at USDA; discussing how Forest Service units may navigate these types of partnerships to engage with communities and demographics who have a unique commitment to environmental stewardship.
Beattra Wilson and Jasmine Forsberg of Urban and Community Forestry staff will offer examples of how faith-based organizations have already partnered successfully with the Forest Service on projects that serve the communities within and outside of their faith affiliations.
Bring a learner’s heart and let’s talk about building bridges to new partnerships.
