WASHINGTON, DC—Do you ever like something, or someone, on a gut level, without knowing much about them? How about dismissing something immediately because it’s from this organization or that group? Then you might have an unconscious bias—something that all humans hold in some form.

The USDA Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights wants to help you learn more about the brain science behind bias. That’s why they developed the FY 2022 Unconscious Bias Training. Join OASCR Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. EST to complete this annual civil rights training.

The video program will help learners understand the impact of bias on everyday interactions and experiences and will provide practical strategies for recognizing and interrupting it at work.

The completion target date is Jan. 18, 2023. Help us reach our goal of 100% participation. USDA’s current overall rate is at 35%. National Appeals Division and Food Safety and Inspection Service are leading the way; each agency has over 50% completion.

If you need technical assistance, please contact your Aglearn administrator.

Thank you for your commitment to elevating the success of our annual civil rights training.
