Maintain travel card privileges: Complete training by Dec. 31
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Employees with travel cards should have noticed a travel card training requirement notification when it was assigned in AgLearn and received a reminder via email on Tuesday, Dec. 3rd.
As shared last year in IFS, this annual training is an important requirement for all employees who travel in support of the Forest Service mission. Travel card training provides employees information regarding their roles and responsibilities as card holders. The training takes about 30 minutes.
The Forest Service is required to have 100% of travel card holders complete their training before the end of the calendar year. However, with only a few weeks left, 23% of travelers have not completed the training. The agency has been informed if travelers do not complete their required training before the end of each calendar year, they risk having their credit card limit reduced to $5 until the course is taken.
Please complete the travel card training to mitigate any disruption in travel and ensure your ability to continue mission operations when travel is required.
Completion dashboards by region, station and deputy area are updated every other week and are posted at CFO Budget and Finance Customer Portal-Travel.
Thank you to those who completed the training and for those who will complete the training in the next few weeks for your assistance in fulfilling our commitment to the people and communities we serve. For questions, please email CFO Travel Compliance.
