Melissa Garrett accepted the position of deputy director for Strategic Planning, Budget, and Accountability for the Washington Office. Garrett currently serves as the budget officer in the Southern Research Station.

Dr. Carlos Rodriguez-Franco accepted the position of acting director for Sustainable Forest Management Research effective April 1. Rodriguez-Franco currently serves as the Senior Forester for the Washington Office Research & Development Deputy Area, in Washington, D.C. He replaces Dr. Thomas Schuler, who has served in the role since July 2023.

Wendy Zirngibl accepted the position of assistant station director for the Rocky Mountain Research Station. Zirngibl currently serves as a program specialist for the National Forest System.
