WASHINGTON, DC—The Wildland Fire Metareview, an agency look at 10 years of wildland fire incidents and accidents, was released just before the holidays, and we hope you’ve had a chance to check it out. The metareview is so much more than a report; it is a jumping off point for dialogue around dynamic tensions within the wildland fire system that influence how work is accomplished. Many of you may be wondering how to start such a dialogue and who you should be working with.

So, to help you figure out the answers to those questions, Innovation and Organizational Learning is hosting its second webinar in the metareview webinar series on March 15 at 1 p.m. Central. In this webinar, Learn by Doing—Facilitating a Dialogue, we will demonstrate how a conversation can be facilitated by asking you to participate in one yourself. We’ll focus in on one chapter of the metareview, review the content and then dialogue about it.

Based on community interest, the first of these will focus on Chapter 11: The Quest for 1,000 Hours of Overtime—Money as an Incentive to Risk. Don’t expect to sit back and watch us talk about this chapter to you! Join us for an interactive dialogue where you can share your thoughts and insights about how we might address this challenge.
