Recognizing Rise to the Future award winners

WASHINGTON—On May 26, Chief Christiansen and Acting Associate Deputy Chief Tina Terrell, National Forest System, honored the Rise to the Future awards recipients. The annual awards recognize outstanding individual and group achievements by natural resource professionals in the Forest Service, as well as our partners in the fisheries, hydrology, soil and air programs. Chief Christiansen and Tina Terrell presented the awards in a virtual evening ceremony, while Rob Harper, director of Biological and Physical Resources, gave additional remarks.

Urban American Outdoors has hosted kids fishing derbies across the country, serving inner-city youth of all racial and cultural backgrounds.
