A North Idaho type two incident management team, lead by Allen Chrisman, will be taking over the fire at 6:00 p.m. this evening.  Crews continue to construct handline in the Mission Mountains Wilderness and extinguish hot spots.  The fire has a slow rate of spread with individual tree torching. Even though there was some precipitation last night and into the morning, the fire behavior may increase due to a Red flag warning for high temperatures and winds with low relative humidity.   Some demobilization of engines and equipment has begun.

The lightning-caused Crazy Horse Fire began on August 10th, 2003.  Currently, there are 555 personnel assigned to the incident.  Cooperating agencies: Montana Department of Natural Resources, Missoula County, Condon Fire Department, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Indian Affairs, National Park Service, and US Fish and Wildlife Service.

All evacuation orders and fire activity advisories have been lifted.

Community Meeting will be tonight, August 27, at 6:30 p.m. Swan Valley Elementary School
