Forest Sector Indicator Reporting Dashboard
The Forest Sustainability Assessment and Reporting Program dashboard provides an accessible, data driven overview of ten key indicators that describe the condition, productivity, and societal importance of the nation’s forests. Through interactive visualizations, the dashboard highlights trends in forest land area, wood production capacity, and growing stock volumes; the extent of forests affected by insects, disease, and invasive species; and the economic contributions of non-wood forest products through production, consumption, exports, and imports. It also presents information on capital investment in forest related industries, employment in the forest products sector, and the role forests play in subsistence use. Together, these indicators help convey the diverse ecological, economic, and social values that forests provide and support transparent, science based reporting for the public.
