10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday through October 3, 2025.

Tours
Learn what smokejumpers are, how they fight wildfires in North America and about the history of the smokejumper program. See exhibits about wildfire fighting and how smokejumpers and the other Aerial Fire Depot organizations work together to make wildfire fighting safer and more efficient.
Exhibits include several short videos and visitors can enter an actual fire lookout from 1937.
Morning: 11:00 a.m.
Duration: The tour takes approximately 45 minutes to one hour.
Tour Groups
Small groups do not need to make prior reservations to take a guided tour of the smokejumper facility.
Large groups of ten or more people should call in advance and schedule a tour.

Directions
Located northwest of the Missoula, Montana Airport. Take Airway Boulevard, exit 99 from Interstate 90, and follow signs to the Smokejumper Base located ½ mile west of the airport terminal.
