Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find 164,000 miles of trails, over 30,000 recreation sites, over 5,000 miles of streams and 3 million acres of lakes, 127 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 37 million acres of designated wilderness areas, 130 wild and scenic rivers, 15 monuments, and one preserve. Watson Lake Campground is a backcountry campground located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe off forest road 16N50. This campground is a first-come, first served campground with six campsites, no reservations, no water, and no trash removal. Please pack out everything brought in and used and remember, camping is only permitted in designated spots.

Wearyman Road #747

Webb Mountain Lookout

Webb Mtn. Lookout sits at an elevation of 5988 feet. The lookout has been used as an observation point for fighting forest fires for over 40 years. Webber Falls

Webber Falls plunges 76 feet into a deep gorge carved out of basaltic bedrock.  It is located in Sierra County, between the towns of Truckee and Sierraville off of Hwy 89.  The water for Webber Falls comes out of Webber Lake which is privately operated and not open to public access.  The falls themselves drop in several cascades with the largest cascade at the bottom level falling about 50 feet. Webbs Ferry Boat Launch

Webbs Ferry is situated on the western shoreline of the Allegheny Reservoir just south of the New York State line. Webster - Jackson Trailhead

This trail has two branches, one leading to the summit of Mt. Webster (3,910 ft.), the other to Mt. Jackson (4,052 ft.), and can be hiked as a 6.5 mile loop using the Webster Cliff Trail to connect the two summits.

Webster Cliff Trailhead

The first open ledges can be reached at 1.8 miles, followed by Mt. Webster (3,910 ft.) at 3.3 miles and Mt Jackson (4,052 ft.) at 4.7 miles. The trail ends 0.9 miles past AMC's Mizpah Springs Hut (fee and reservations required) near the summit of Mt. Pierce (4,312 ft.).
