Over 3 million acres of land located in 22 National Recreation Areas managed by the Forest Service is preserved for recreational activities like hiking, boating, fishing and swimming, while highlighting natural, cultural and scenic resources. Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find 164,000 miles of trails, over 30,000 recreation sites, over 5,000 miles of streams and 3 million acres of lakes, 127 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 37 million acres of designated wilderness areas, 130 wild and scenic rivers, 15 monuments, and one preserve. Bent Creek Experimental Forest

Berg Bay Cabin

Berger Campground

This rustic campground is situated along a small seasonal creek in the shadow of the Sierra Buttes. There are 9 campsite with limited space for trailers or RVs.  No potable water available. Vault toilets.

Bergland Ranger District

Berner trail is .06 tenths of a mile long. It is blazed with yellow blazes. It is rated as an easy trail. Open to hikers and mountain bikers also.

Berners Bay Cabin

The cabin is a 13' x 14' Pan Abode style cabin with large deck located on a saltwater beach. One double bunk and three single bunks provide sleeping for 5. Berray Mountain Trailhead #967

Berray Mountain Trail #967 leads to historic Berray Mountain Lookout. Spectacular views of the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness and Scotchman Peaks Recommend Wilderness Area can be seen from the peak. The lookout was built in 1965 and remained staffed for the purpose of fire detection until 1973. Restoration efforts on the lookout tower are currently underway in the hopes of preserving the tower.

Berray Mountain West Trailhead #1028
