Brushy Lake Recreation Area
Brushy Lake Recreation Area offers everything from camping, picnicking, boating, and fishing to sanitary facilities including a bathhouse. Brushy Lake is 33-acres and has 13 campsites that accommodate very small recreational vehicles and tents. Campers occupy sites on a first come, first serve basis. Water and flushing is only available March - November.

Payne Lake Recreation Area
Payne Lake Recreation Area offers the outdoor enthusiasts solitude, a scenic lake, and picturesque campsites. Payne Lake Recreation Area has one swimming beach and two bathhouses for users of the recreation area. Each bathhouse has restrooms and showers. Pine Glen Recreation Area
Pine Glen Recreation Area offers camping sites for 21 campsites, cooking grills, sanitary facilities, fishing, hiking, and access to the Pinhoti Trail. Use of Pine Glen Recreation Area is on a first come, first serve basis. It’s a favorite with hunters because it is centrally located in the Choccolocco Wildlife Management Area.

Enjoy the forest and the wonders of nature in primitive camping surrounding. Pendergrass, Skeeter Branch & East End Hunter Camps are centrally located and open year round. These Hunter Camps have no sanitary facilities.
Big Oak Physically Disabled Hunting Camp
Big Oak Hunter Camp is our only physically disabled hunting area in the Talladega National Forest. This camp is a 1700 acre hunting unit for physically disabled hunters possessing the required State permits in Choccolocco Wildlife Management Area. Big Oak Hunter Camp also has sanitary facilities.
Evans Flat Campground
6100-foot elevation. 20 campsites with fenced pastures and corrals for horses. A network of roads and trails covers the area. Access from Rancheria Road in the Greenhorn Mountains. Fenced pasture, 4 equestrian sites, no drinking water, Maximum RV length 20 feet.
Fairview Campground
Scenic campground along the North Fork of the Kern River 3500 foot elevation. 55 camp units. Maximum RV length is 45 feet. Vault toilets available. This is available through the reservation system. Accessible campsites available.

Fish Creek Campground
54 miles northeast of Kernville via Mtn. 99 and Sherman Pass Rd. (22S05), or 32 miles west of Hwy. 395 via Nine Mile Canyon Rd. (J41). Paved roads; 40 units including 12 suitable for RV's up to 24'; restrooms; piped well water. There is no trash collection. Elev. 7,400 feet. Open Jun. to Nov. Fee -$17 per night.
