Campground: Morrison Creek

This site was burned over in the Cascade Creek Fire of 2012. Several primitive camp sites are available, some along Morrison Creek. The site serves as a trailhead to the Shorthorn Trail #16 which enters Mount Adams Wilderness and is within 3 miles of the popular South Climb #183 Trail and route up Mt Adams. Road access is rough and not recommended for trailers or motor homes.

Panther Creek Campground offers wooded campsites within walking distance of Panther Creek. Panther Creek Falls is about four miles north of the campground on Forest Road 65. There is access to hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail which runs close to the campground. During the operating season the campground has drinking water and a host.

Campground: Paradise Creek

Paradise Creek Campground is a serene area that is heavily shaded by large old-growth evergreen trees and located on Paradise Creek.  An easy short trail winds through the campground. It is about 5 miles from the Falls Creek Falls Trailhead making the campground a good location for waterfall lovers. There is drinking water and a host during the season.

Peterson Prairie Campground is an attractive campground with level, well shaded graveled sites.  This site is located near large huckleberry fields making the campground very popular during huckleberry season.  It has easy access on a paved road. Campground: Tower Rock

Tower Rock Campground is named for the impressive pillar that looms nearby and offers semi-private sites shaded by a mix of cedar, Douglas fir and maple. It is located about a quarter mile from the south bank of the Cispus River on the east side of Mount St. Helens. A small scenic lower elevation campground located next to Trout Lake Creek.  Some of the campsites are on the banks of the creek.  A short easy trail leads from the campground to a remote camp site.  Wildflowers are present in season. Campground: Wakepish Group Campground

In a mature and varied forest setting, this site is near Mount St. Helens and Forest Road 99. There is a paved road to camp with a small shelter and toilet. Forest Road 99 ends at Windy Ridge, which provide sweeping views of Mount St. Helens and into the crater. Campton Campground

Campton Campground is one of the first National Forest campgrounds visitors encounter when driving north on Interstate 93. Only a short distance east of exit 28, this location has 58 sites scattered amongst ancient white pine trees.

Can Springs Campground

Located on hour northeast of Lakeview, Oregon, Can Springs births a bubbling creek that flows through this primitive forest camp with a riparian vegetation area bordering it. Large ponderosa pine trees help create a wonderful place to explore or relax in nature’s solitude. There are three campsites with picnic tables and fire rings. There is no potable water. Visitors need to pack plenty of water.

Candle Creek Campground

At the confluence of Candle Creek and the Metolius River, Candle Creek Campground offers opportunities for fishing and hiking. This campground is not recommended for RVs.

Cane Camp

Visitors to Cane Camp can enjoy a quiet and peaceful setting under the shade of large pine trees carpeted with green grass. This horse camp is located near the Sandstone Multiple-Use Trail and can be a riders camping point to utilize the Caroline Dormon Trail.
