Over 3 million acres of land located in 22 National Recreation Areas managed by the Forest Service is preserved for recreational activities like hiking, boating, fishing and swimming, while highlighting natural, cultural and scenic resources. Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find 164,000 miles of trails, over 30,000 recreation sites, over 5,000 miles of streams and 3 million acres of lakes, 127 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 37 million acres of designated wilderness areas, 130 wild and scenic rivers, 15 monuments, and one preserve. Reservoir Campground

This campground is next to Wickiup Reservoir and provides great bird watching opportunities. This site offers beautiful scenery and is a great place to go during the summer for easy access to fishing. Maximum site spur length is 125 feet. There is a boat launch area adjacent to this campground.

Riverside Campground

Rock Creek Boating Site

Sheep Bridge Boating Site

Wickiup Reservoir is very rich, highly productive, relatively warm water and cooler deep channels generate some of the finest fishing in Central Oregon. This is a primitive boat ramp located within the Sheep Bridge Campground. Later in the season, in autumn, the ramp becomes mostly unusable as water levels are too low. There is also limited parking for pick-ups and trailers at this site.
