Join the Forest Service at the Society of American Foresters Convention on September 17-19 in Loveland, CO. Although we are not currently seeking candidates for forestry and timber positions, we have job openings for permanent seasonal forestry technicians, fire cache positions, and several Job Corps staff positions. You do not need to attend the convention to apply.

The mission of the Society of American Foresters is to advance sustainable management of forest resources through science, education, and technology, promoting professional excellence while ensuring the continue health, integrity, and use of forests to benefit society in perpetuity.
2024 National Convention
Join the Forest Service at the 2024 SAF Convention in Loveland, CO. The convention will be held from September 17–20, 2024, at the Embassy Suites Loveland Hotel & Conference Center and the Ranch Events Complex.
The theme “The Resources We Manage” references all the considerations that forestry and natural resources professionals need to reflect on when planning and implementing decisions on the ground.
As the field of forestry evolves, forestry professionals are expanding their management skillsets to include expertise in new technologies, emerging forest product markets, community outreach, and other areas.
Join us at the 2024 convention to learn from your peers, grow your network within and beyond the sector, and develop as a forestry professional. Forest Service executives, recruiters, human resource specialists, and professionals in forestry and natural resources will take part in a range of activities listed below.

Get support from human resource specialists regarding the application process, USAJOBS, federal resume writing, and educational prerequisites for specific roles in the Brown, Beard, and Sandhouse Rooms in South Hall of the Ranch Events complex.
