FishXing - Pronounced "Fish Crossing" this software is designed to assist engineers, hydrologists and fish biologists in the evaluation and design of culverts for fish passage. It is free and available for download at the FishXing website.

National Inventory and Assessment Procedure for Identifying Barriers to Aquatic Organism Passage at Road Stream Crossings - interactive tutorial

WEPP Software - The Water Erosion Prediction Project (WEPP) model is a process-based, distributed parameter, continuous simulation, erosion prediction model for use on personal computers running Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP. The current model version (v2006.5) available for download is applicable to hillslope erosion processes (sheet and rill erosion), as well as simulation of the hydrologic and erosion processes on small watersheds. Included in the download package is the WEPP model (version 2006.5), WEPP Windows interface (May 2006), CLIGEN climate generators (versions 4.3 and 5.22564), documentation and example data.

SEDMODL2 - Sediment Model 2 (SEDMODL2) is a GIS-based road erosion and delivery model designed to identify road segments with high potential for delivering sediment to streams. The model uses an elevation grid combined with road and stream information layers to produce what is essentially a computer-generated version of the Washington surface road erosion model. It estimates background sediment, generation of sediment for individual road segments, finds road/stream intersections, and estimates delivery of road sediment to streams.

Stream Systems Technology Center - The Stream Systems Technology Center, or "STREAM TEAM " is a national technical center chartered to improve knowledge of stream systems and watershed hydrology, develop operational tools and technology, provide training and technical support, and identify research needs for the purpose of coordinating development of needed technology to secure favorable conditions of water flows. The Stream Systems Technology Center is part of the Washington Office Watershed, Fisheries, and Wildlife Staff.
