Swick Old Growth Interpretive Site
Established in an old growth ponderosa pine stand, this area includes a short barrier-free trail with interpretive signs, longer trail through additional old growth area, a parking area, picnic table and barrier free toilet. The trail allows visitors to learn about old growth ponderosa pine stands first hand while enjoying a beautiful, easy hike.
Swift Creek Campground
The Swift Creek Campground sits at just over 8000 feet elevation near the confluence of Swift Creek and the Yellowstone River. A lovely waterfall is nearby. The campground is near the boundary of the High Uintas Wilderness, and the trailhead from the campground leads to a number of alpine lakes. Fishing for brook, brown and rainbow trout is possible in the Yellowstone River.

Seven shady campsites are nestled at the base of the Salt River Range right along the musical Swift Creek just outside Afton, Wyoming. A single faucet is available at site 1, and an accessible toilet is provided in the center of the campground. Large picnic tables welcome family groups for meals.

Swift Creek-Periodic Spring Trailhead
The Swift Creek Trail ventures high along the north slope of the Creek from the Periodic Springs parking area. Look for hitching rail just past the vault toilet. The Springs trail, following the bottom, offers visitors an easy 3/4 mile hike to view Periodic Springs, North America's only cold water geyser and the largest of the three known fluctuation springs in the world.
